Mrs DY Moonsammy has 28 years of experience within the Airline Industry and has a firm understanding of the Civil Aviation environment. Her experience over the years has been vast and varied and in addition holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and is registered as a Psychologist with the Health Professionals Council of Southern Africa. This gives her an added advantage of understanding human behaviour in all its complexities and challenges. Her business understanding and strategic focus emanates from her qualification from GIBS, a programme equivalent to an MBA, and subsequently lecturing at the Business school as an Adjunct lecturer. She recently completed an International Executive Development programme at GIBS. She is also a qualified Meta NLP Coach. 

She was the President of the Association of African Aviation Training Organisations (AATO), that was mandated by Mr Raymond Benjamin past SG of ICAO from 2016 to 2019 and was Vice-President prior. 

She is the Chairperson and Director of the Wonders of Aviation an initiative created to celebrate the wonders of flight by exposing the youth of South Africa to the Aviation Industry. It also provides a platform for all Aviation related companies to show- case their outreach initiatives under one umbrella body. 

Dy was the Airlines Association of Southern Africa’s (AASA) representative on the TETA Chamber Committee: Aerospace.

Dy was employed by Comair Ltd and was the Head of learning and Development for 21 years. The last position she held was Executive: Corporate Affairs-Alt.Academy.

She is currently managing her own Consultancy practice focussing on Leadership Development, Softs skills training, Coaching and Mentoring, advises on establishing your own Learning Academy and input regarding Aviation related issues.
